When creating my registry, I fluctuated feeling overwhelmed and confident. I knew what I needed, but how do you choose from all the different types?! I’ll share some direct links to things Spencer & I added, as well as list other items we did or didn’t add that may be suitable to you!
Dinnerware
We upgraded all dinnerware. We had enough to function, but nothing matched! Find a set that best fits you and go from there! We opted for:
- Marin White Dinner Set (I did la carte with items we’d specifically use and with the actual number we wanted. Ex: 6 dinner plates.)
- York Mirror Flatware Set
- York Mirror Serving Set
Other items we also had for dinnerware: a nicer set of glass cups (both tall & short) and a pitcher.
Cookware/Ovenware
This was the hardest for me!! SO many options, so many different purposes, so many different coatings. We never had durable, long-lasting pots, pans, etc. So I did a little research and selected an individual pot, pan, or dish based on durability, reviews, and how often we’d use it. There are also cookware SETS you could add to your registry. You can also add it to a “group fund” so people could contribute!
- Le Creuset ® Signature 10″ Cream Skillet: This is on the pricier side. It is a cast iron skillet, but unlike traditional cast iron skillets, you do not need to season it. It is clad in enamel, so it holds the heat a little better and makes it easier to clean. You can use this stove top & in oven.
- All-Clad Sauce Pan with Lid
- Le Creuset Stock Pot (I don’t totally understand why stock pots are so expensive)
- All-Clad Square Griddle
- All-Clad Roaster
Other items we also had for cookware/ovenware: glass bowls (some with lids, some without), a Le Creuset casserole dish, colanders, digital thermometer, new cooking utensils, trivets, skewers, tongs, herb scissors, etc.
We also had an Amazon registry where we put things like hot pads, kitchen utensils, kitchen towels, new cutting boards, mixing bowls with silicone bottoms, salt & pepper grinders, cruet sets, etc.
Entertaining
I was personally very excited about this section!
- We put a couple different sized serving boards, along with a cheese knives set.
- We did not have the chalkboard cheese markers on the registry, but did receive them, and we were SO EXCITED! I would add these if you love charcuterie boards and entertaining!
- We also picked out a number of entertaining pieces from the Marin collection (the same collection as our dinnerware). The serving bowls are a great size and so are the platters!! SO big!! & beautiful!
Electronics
This is another area where we had the electronics to function, but were looking to upgrade.
- Breville Coffee Maker
- Breville Bluicer: Blends & juices!
- iRobot Vacuum
We also added: electronic griddle, Shark navigator vaccum, and a carpet cleaner!
Bar
I am not going to link, but if you are into drinking, definitely upgrade your glasses! We did: wine glasses, pilsner glasses, hatch rock glasses, and beer can glasses. This is a great opportunity to also get decanters, as well!
Other Registry Ideas
There are many other items that I either didn’t link or personally have on my registry. Here are some other great ideas to add!
- Towels
- Bedding/sheets
- Tools (Spencer added a ton of tools on Amazon!)
- Large coolers
- Luggage (I did this! Loved!)
- Air purifiers, humidifiers, etc.
- New toaster
- Camping chairs
- Camping supplies
- Grill
The opportunities are endless!! I would recommend to start by writing things down as they come up. When Spencer and I cook, I usually say “I wish we had..” or “I can’t wait to upgrade..” I began to write those items down little by little and added them as soon as we created our registry! It also helps to then add items you CERTAINLY want/need (for us it was an upgraded dinnerware set) and then you can go from there!!
