I always love a seasonal refresh and even sometimes just a refresh in general. But the price tag that comes with it- not so much. This is one of MANY ways you could repurpose something you already have at home or a piece from a garage sale or thrift store that just needs a little lovin’. Here’s how you can freshen up with this easy springtime hack:
I started by heading to Goodwill and I found one more basic vase & another whose character just jumped right out at me but did have a few chips on it.
I next went to Home Depot to search for the textured spray paint in shade beige of course!! I used Rust-Oleum Stone in “Bleached Stone”
I simply laid out a sheet I don’t care much about, gave each of the vases an even spray, and let them dry! It was as easy as that. When completely dry, they have a rough textured feel and such a pretty neutral tone that goes with everything.

A Few Tips:
- I used a clear vase and a vase that already had a pretty light finish. You may need more coats with a darker color.
- Like other spray paints, make sure you evenly spray and let it dry before applying another coat. This paint especially could pile up super easily and it will inevitably stand out.
- Definitely listen to the instructions on the can- I tried to spray paint when it was very cold & it took forever to dry
- With vases that have different curves and divots, it could be helpful to flip the vase over when spraying the second coat. Gravity, ya know?
You aren’t limited to vases, either! There are so many ways to freshen up with this easy Springtime hack and plenty of room to get creative. Let me know if you give it a try- I’d love to see your final product!
