Bridesmaids proposals were one of my favorite parts of early engagement stages! I had so much fun thinking of all of my favorite people and what they’d appreciate, but also get most use of. I knew I wanted something a little different, but couldn’t do a picnic or a dinner since I live far from my bridesmaids (I LOVE the picnic idea). I also had to ship it in the mail- LOTS of different factors to consider. The one thing that I knew for sure was the theme- beige baby. 😉
My first focus was to decide how. Like I said, I had to ship them so I tried to keep them light in weight, too. I wanted it to be a “presentation,” but also not a box. I stumbled across the adorable bags on Etsy and knew I wanted to personalize them for each of my girls.
Next, I wanted to think of small gifts to include that weren’t a waste, light in weight, and as inexpensive as possible. Common gifts I’ve seen in the past/considered include:
- candles
- scrunchies/claw clips
- jewelry
- mini champagne
- hand lotion
- bath bombs
- chocolate/candy
- sunglasses
- head bandana
I ultimately went with beige claw clips and hand lotion from my favorite place! I ordered the claw clips in a pack of three, with different styles so they were still unique to each girl. I then wanted a pop of color, but in a rustic way. I stumbled on the head bandanas also in a pack of 3 with different colors, and I knew it was meant to be! I really liked picking out the color of bandana and style of claw clip for each of my favs!
The final step was the “asking” aspect of the bridesmaid proposal. I downloaded this template from Etsy, customized it with my month/their name, and printed it on card stock right here at home. It was such a quick and simple process! Double bonus- it got the date out there before I sent the save the dates!
Bridesmaids proposals were so much fun for me. I loved the anticipation of each girl getting their bag, the reaction & response, and it only made me SO much more excited for the day! It truly doesn’t even matter what goes into it- it’s all really just a bonus, the besties saying yes is the good part 🙂
