Getting Started The Planning WEDDING

Life of a Bride to Be: Staying Organized

It is absolutely no doubt that the excited feeling of being engaged could quickly start to dwindle when you begin the process of the planning. I was able to shake that feeling IMMEDIATELY when I implemented these 3 tricks to staying organized.

Trick 1: MAKE A WEDDING EMAIL

Omg this saved me. I am so glad I saw this tip early on! You could make it specifically geared toward the wedding, or if you want to continue using it post-wedding, consider making a personal email with your new last name! Any and all conversations with vendors will remain here, kind of like a virtual file folder.

Trick 2: KEEP AN EXCEL/SHEETS

I am a big numbers person, so this was a given. But it turned into my go-to for all steps! From comparing vendors, keeping track of budget, narrowing down my guest list, tracking alcohol consumption, etc. I made a template (a replica of what I use!) that you could download and use here.

Trick 3: HAVE A VIRTUAL ADDRESS BOOK

I used Postable and I absolutely love it! You just send your link to all family/friends via text, email, etc. They will enter their information and you instantly have everyone’s addresses. You could edit the settings to ask for specific information and when you’ve gathered everyone, you can download it into an excel sheet. The excel sheet SAVED me when it came to save the dates and invitations. It’s accessible from anywhere, too, which is even better. Any time I would get a text asking for someone’s info, I could respond no matter where I was. It made this part of the process seamless.

I truly haven’t felt the stress that many people talk about. I’m still a handful of months out… so who’s to say the stress won’t come between now & then. But at least I always have these 3 tools to keep me organized!
