I was SO excited to ask the littles in my life if they’d be apart of our special day. However, I was surprised by how difficult it could be to come up with a unique, age appropriate gift that they’ll actually enjoy. Here are some simple & fun ways to ask your younger wedding party, such as your jr. bridesmaid, ring bearer, and flower girl to take part in your wedding!
Jr. Bridesmaid
This is definitely a less traditional but definitely common role in weddings. These girls fall right in between the “common” age to be a flower girl & bridesmaid. Too old for one; too young for another. I wanted to put together something age-appropriate but still had a sense of mature! I put together an adorable non-alcoholic cotton candy champagne gift basket!
I found this fun idea online somewhere- but I can’t remember where! The contents are:
- Welch’s Non-Alcoholic champagne
- Marshmallow fluff
- Cotton candy
- Sprinkles
- Plastic champagne glasses
Instructions to make the drink:
- Rim the cup with marshmallow fluff & dip into sprinkles
- Stuff the glass with cotton candy
- Top it with some champagne!
It was so fun. We were able to do this together and she was SO excited! If I could ask all over again I would!
Other Ideas:
- Tumbler with their name on it
- Customized toiletry tote filled with small gifts
- Jewelry with their initial on it
- The same gift as your bridesmaids (obviously substitute for age-appropriate)
Flower Girl
Similar to my jr. bridesmaid proposal, I wanted this to be age-appropriate and fun for the flower girl, but also compliment the “flower girl” role. While on the hunt, I found the most adorable book that tells a story of a little girl who is asked to be the flower girl. I loved that! But also thought, not all kids loooove books. So I did of course get a little puzzle, some bubbles, and a pop it! (If you don’t know what a pop-it is, Google STAT! Kids are obsessed.

- Flower Girl Puzzle
- Flower Girl Book
- Pop It (I did a unicorn one)
Other Ideas:
- T-shirt that says “Flower Girl” or “Petal Patrol”
- Stuffed animal with a customized accessory (such as shirt, stitching on ear, etc.)
- Custom tumbler
Ring Bearer
This was most difficult!! I have two ring bearers. One is too young to understand and the other one is your typical little kid who loves all things baseball, LEGOs, etc. I thought for them, a toy matching their personality & a simple card to ask them would be best! I figured I would go simpler & fun on this one, and more sentimental the day of!
Other Ideas:
- T-shirt that says “Ring Security”
- Puzzle similar to the one I used for my flower girl
- Tumbler with their name
You can do a lot of the same gifting for all roles, just specified to them. It’s important to consider their age because you want them to actually use and enjoy what you get them. I would also keep in mind that if you are going to be giving a gift for the day of the wedding, consider what ideas you may want to save for then! That day will be more sentimental and emotional, so perhaps keepsakes wait until then!
